Reina Juana, necklace.
A silver petal crown with a faceted oval red jade.
The idea for the “Yo, la reina” collection has its origin in a very special jewel. We do not know its name; we do not even know if it existed. This jewel is the medallion that Joanna of Castile wore in many of her adulthood portraits. We looked for inspiration in said portraits, as a kind of homage to this often-forgotten queen and woman, and the land she lived in.
In the portraits the medallion appears tied around the neck with a black ribbon. In its centre, we see a bright red, oval stone. Around it, two rows of petals. We have replicated this wonderful piece, worthy of a queen, and we have also come up with different pieces with a timeless design. (You can find them in the “Yo, la Reina” section).
